Blackheath Art Society AGM 11 October, 2023

This is a reminder that the Blackheath Art Society AGM will be taking place at:

6.45pm on Wednesday 11th October in the Annexe of the Kingswood Halls, Kingswood Place, Dacre Park, SE13 5BU

Please can you make every effort to attend, as we need input from members to help us formulate the future direction of the BAS:

The Blackheath Art Society is currently run by a small group of volunteers and is dependent on members’ willingness to contribute to the administration of the BAS, including organising membership, controlling our finances, managing Exhibitions, curating, labelling and hanging work, promoting Exhibitions by devising publicity materials and through Social Media (Instagram/Facebook), organising trips and coordinating our Website.

Unfortunately, our volunteer Website Administrator has recently had to step down and we really need someone who would be willing to take over the role. Having an up to date website is an important element of the Blackheath Art Society, although the role would only take a minimal amount of time. The BAS would be very happy to provide training.

We welcome suggestions as to how we can fill this vacancy and also encourage more members to participate in the running of the group. We hope that members, who are not already involved in any aspect helping to run the BAS, will consider how they might contribute. For example we wouldn’t be able put up our exhibitions without the vital contribution of our “hanging team”. We look forward to hearing from you at the upcoming AGM.
