The “Landscape Artist of the Year 2021 Team” has contacted the Blackheath Art Society
Charlie Sever, from Storyvault Films, the producers of the television series Sky Arts Landscape Artist of the Year has written to say that their team are currently looking for artists to take part in the new series and this may be of interest.
The series will be filmed in spectacular locations around the UK over the course of this Summer. As we finally come out of the national lockdown the Producers are hoping this will be the best yet for both artists and viewers. For reassurance: all filming will be conducted under strict Covid-secure protocols regarding social distancing and health and safety.
Artists enter with a landscape artwork they have created within the last five years, via their website:
https://www.skyartsartistoftheyear.tv/landscape.
If selected to take part in the competition they will then be given the opportunity to paint a specially chosen, stunning landscape within the UK.
The prize on offer is a £10,000 commission for a major British institution plus £500 worth of art materials from Cass Art.
The deadline for applying to the competition is 30th April 2021.
